These hot rounds are loaded with the M855 steel cores, no jackets, no lead tails, just the steel cores. There are about 40 of the cores packed in. It has a special steel shot wad to insure that the cores and the barrel play nice, amuzzle velocity of 1,400 FPS which generates a mild 1,500 foot pounds energy. The cores produce a fast opening pattern AND upon impact the cores tumble like little lawn-mower blades. If you want to absolutely shred your target, reach for the M855 shot.
